Notable New York Fashion Week '22 Trends

Micheal Kors NYFW Fall/Winter 2022

We can always count on New York Fashion Week to showcase innovative trends that will soon make their way into our everyday wardrobes. Much like the city itself, New York Fashion Week celebrates standing out amongst the crowd and being true to yourself. We’ve rounded up this year's NYFW Fall '22 trends and how we’re styling them in the upcoming seasons.

Saturated Colours

If we could give a theme to this year's NYFW, it would be: BOLD. A lot of colour was seen on up and down the runways from many different designers. Not quite ready to rock a full head-to-toe matching set? That's okay! Pair a bold coloured top with a pair of black bottoms.

Plaid Vibes

The “preppy girl” look is on the rise again with the return of plaid. Plaid dresses, skirts, and jackets are super in. One of our most favourite ways to rock a plaid skirt is with a pair of black sheer tights. It's kinda like a match made in heaven.

Feathers Everywhere

Feathered tube tops, vests, and bags were all the rave this Fashion Week. We know, the thought of wearing feathers can be super overwhelming for many. To tone down the trend try opting for a feather trim detail on a pair of pants with a more muted top.

Barely There Pieces

Although hard to wear on its own, sheer tops and bottoms are a great way to incorporate layering into your outfit. Think about wearing your favourite tank under a sheer long sleeve top instead of a cardigan this upcoming season.

Exciting Pant Suits

Who says we can’t balance work and fun at the same time? Daring pant suits in eye-catching colours and textures will be everywhere in 2022. If you aren’t a fan of a two-piece set just purchase the bottoms and add a top from your own wardrobe.
